Names of Rolls in Craps
Craps is a game where there will always be the rolling of two dice. In a game of craps, this is done by the shooter. The shooter rolls the dice one handed so that they bounce off the wall on the other side of the table. To make the game of craps more interesting, over time nicknames have been given to the different combination of the rolls thrown of the two dice, such as the nicknames give by a bingo caller who calls bingo numbers. It just makes the game more exciting for the players.
If you have ever visited a casino you will no doubt be very impressed at how fast and accurate the Stickman as he or she is known, announces the rolls in a game of craps. If you hear him or her shout out ‘Boxcars’, then a double six has been rolled. A ‘Yo’ or a ‘Yo-leven refers to a 6 and a 5 being rolled. Different casinos in different countries, and in fact, even different cities in the US, may have their very own nicknames. Some you might be more familiar with than others, such as two 1’s rolled, which is commonly called ‘Snake Eyes’. Some of the other common names for rolls in craps are (1 and 2 is Ace Deuce), (1 and 3 is Easy Four), (1 and 4 is Fever Five). Others include, Easy 10, Nina, Easy Eight, The roll of any combination adding up to 7 is commonly called a Natural or a Seven Out.
