Donald Trump certainly has earned quite the reputation for himself and is well known throughout the world as a celebrity. His fame is for not only his wealth but also his extravagant lifestyle and his hard-nosed attitude in his television series, The Apprentice.

Donald Trump has quickly learnt the value of a reputation and name. A lot of companies and properties that are known as part of the Trump Empire are not actually owned by Mr Trump himself. Instead, Mr Trump sells his name and image to companies as a license and they can then become part of the Trump franchise.

One thing that can be said about Mr Trump is his resilience in tough times. He has been near to bankruptcy several times but has bounced back and rebuilt his wealth. In 2007 his wealth was listed as being in the region of $3 billion in properties around the world.

His reputation also extends out in his love life and has been known to date some of the most beautiful women in the world. Despite his questionable hairstyle that he has kept the same since his youth, he still seems to be often snapped with a leggy beauty on his arm! His much publicized divorce from Ivana Trump is rumoured to have cost him $20 million dollars plus a monthly support payment thought to be in the region of $30,000.

His wealth comes from many different avenues and one of them is Trump Entertainment Resorts that owns several casinos and hotels in Atlantic City. The company is now a public company to which Mr Trump licenses out his name and likeness for a fee. Recent years have not been the best for Trump Entertainment Resorts and they recently filed for bankruptcy protection due to the massive losses. Donald Trump was the CEO for the company but he stepped down early 2009.
