Parlay
Parlay is when you take your winnings from a particular bet and then place it on another bet and putting it all in so to speak.

Pass Line
This bet is the most popular one in Craps. To win the bet you need to roll a 7 or 11 on the come out roll. You lose the bet if a 2,3 or 12 is rolled on the come out roll. If a box number is rolled then it must be repeated before a 7 for the pass line bet to win.

Past Posting
This is an illegal act to do in Craps and it is done by a player placing, or adding to a bet that has already won.

Pips
Pips are a name for the spots on the dice.

Pit
Pit is the enclosed area of table games in a casino.

Place Bet
A Place Bet is when a bet is placed on a box number that the player chooses. This type of bet doesn’t require a player to play the pass line. The odds are different in this bet and they pay 9/5 on the numbers 4 and 10. They will pay you 7/5 on the 5 and 9 and a payout of 7/6 on the numbers 6 and 8. For the privilege of being able to place a number directly the casino takes a higher percentage of these bets.

Point
Point numbers are any of the box numbers that is rolled on the come out throw. The dealer will indicate the point number by placing a puck on the number with the on side showing.

Press
Press is the actual act of increasing a bet. The player often tells the dealer to press and the dealer knows they want to up the bet. The press is usually the bet doubled but the player can choose to bet whatever he wishes. He must let the dealer know first though.

Proposition Bets
These are bets that are found in the center of the craps table. Proposition bets usually include hardway and hop bets.

Purple
Purple is a term that is given to the $500 checks.

Put Bet
A Put Bet is a come bet that at certain casinos players will be allowed to place or put directly to a box number with odds. They do not have to go through the come, although Put Bets give the house a higher advantage as there is no opportunity to win the flat portion of the bet
