D’Alenbert System
A gambler’s system whereby one chip or unit is added to a losing bet and one chip or unit removed on a winning bet. Similar to the Martingale and reverse Martingale system.
Dealers
The employees of the casino who run the Craps table. They pay the winning bettors and collect the losing bets. They also have spare dice and announce the dice outcome.
Deuce
A slang term for the number 2 in dice.
Dice
A pair or more of numbered playing cubes.
Die
A single numbered playing cube.
Dime
A $10 chip
Dime bet
A $1000 wager
Dollar Bet
A $100 wager
Die in the Wood
A stray die is rolled to vigorously and ends up in the chip rack.
Don’t Come Bet
Wager chips on the dice not passing after the come out roll
Don’t Pass
Throwing Craps, or throwing a 7 instead of making point.
Double Up
When a gambler loses and then places a wager twice their normal amount to recoup the loss.
Down to the Felt
A gambler who has lost all of their money.
Drop
Cash or chips lost while gambling. To lose money.
Drop Box
Where the stickman or boxman keeps cash, chips and markers
