Backline
Another name for the Craps’ Don’t Pass Line.
Bag
An English word for one thousand. For example, a four bad would be four thousand.
Bar 6-6
When there is a stand off between bettors. There is no definite winner or loser. Bets can be passed over to the next bet or withdrawn. It is also called Bar 1-1 or Bar 1-2.
Base
The area where the majority of Craps bets are placed.
Base Dealer
The casino employee who is in charge of the bases on the Craps table.
Behind the Line
Bets placed after the come out roll on the free odds.
Bet
A wager on a specific outcome.
Betting Limits
The minimum and maximum of the Craps table. This can vary between casinos, but generally the minimum is $5 and the maximum is $500.
Betting Right
Betting on the shooter, such as on the Pass Line.
Betting Wrong
Betting against the shooter, such as the Don’t Pass Line.
Big Six
Situated to the lower corner of the table next to the Big 8. This bet is on the number 6 coming out before a 7.
Big Eight
Same as the Big Six although a bet placed on an eight being rolled before a seven.
Big Red
A wager on a seven being rolled next.
Bones
A nickname for the dice.
Bowl
This is the stickman’s container which holds spare dice.
Boxcars
A bet on a 12 being rolled next.
Box Man
The supervising casino employee who is in charge of the Craps table.
Box numbers
The 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 numbers in boxes on the Craps table.
Box Up
The substitution of dice for a new game.
Break Even Point
When a gambler is neither winning nor losing money or has the same amount as when they started.
Broke Money
For a gambler who has lost all of their bankroll, it is the money given to them to pay for transport home.
Buffalo
A wager on Any Seven and each Hard Way bet.
Buy Bet
Paying 5% house commission to get correct odds on placed bets.
