Rules of Craps
The first thing to understand about Craps is that it works in rounds.
The round begins with the Shooter and he will roll when all the bets have been laid out on the table.
Playing online, you don’t have to worry about being the shooter as it is automated. In a real Casino, though, you have to be sure to try and not roll the dice off the table and scatter all the bets everywhere!
The opening roll is known as the Come Out throw. This sets the tone for the rest of the round.
If you wish to bet on the shooter winning with a seven or an eleven, known as a pass, then you bet on the pass out line. You can also go for him losing on the first roll with a two, three or a twelve. This is known as the don’t pass line.
These are the earliest bets you can make and they only last for the Come Out roll.
It’s very normal to always have a bet on these areas and this is a good way for a beginner to get into the game.
The odds in most casinos worldwide are one to one. So you will either lose or double up, based on that one throw.
When playing online, use the repeat button to consistently place this bet and save you some time.
It is a really good idea to just make this bet and this bet only when starting out in Craps. At least until you are familiar with the software’s interface to the game.
Understanding how and where to place bets is fundamental to enjoying the game and of course hitting the bigger wins. After watching for a while, it will not take you too long to get a feel for where your bets should be placed.
