Craps Etiqutte Rules

If you decide to play Craps online and are comfortable with the interface of the game and the basic rules then you should also adhere to one other rule.

Try not to take the game too seriously or spend too much time playing it.

However, if you become great at playing craps online and you do decide to visit a real casino to play there is a certain etiquette at the craps table.

Try not to chat to players too much of be overly loud as some players are trying to concentrate.

Also, if you bet against the shooter and you win, don’t make a large celebration of this! The chances are half of the table betted for the shooter, so you will end up upsetting people.

When you are shooting, make sure the dice are thrown hard enough to reach the back board. Also, try not to knock anyone’s chips over! It helps if your dice stay on the table too and don’t go tumbling down the casino.

Never sit at a craps table unless it is designed with chairs and others are doing so too. Never ever put your drink on the table.

Spilling your cold beer over the canvas is a sure way to upset everyone around you.

Some players are very superstitious when playing craps, so try not to disturb them too much if they look focussed.

Another faux pas is kissing or blowing on the dice. Someone has to use them after you so this is considered slightly taboo at the table.

If you are winning well and want to tip the casino staff, you can place a bet for them on the game and say ‘for the house’.

Try and make it a reasonable bet and give them a chance of winning, rather than a long shot ten to one bet.
