Craps Betting Rules

Some basic betting advise on Craps play involves where and when to bet in order to lower the Casinos odds against you.
Some people just tend to bet in the wrong places and that’s why they lose money faster than other players.
Always bet smart. There is no point betting on an area when the odds are better elsewhere.

There are some bets that you simply should not place, because an equivalent bet can be made elsewhere which will give you much better odds.

Take the Big 6 and the Big 8 bets. Have a good look at them and then ignore these two areas for the rest of your Craps career. They should never be used, because you can make an equivalent Lay Bet on a 6 or an 8, which gives you better odds.

If you don’t want more than a two percent odds against you from the game, stick to betting only on the Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Come, Don’t Come, and Lay bets on numbers 6 and 8.

All of these bets will give you a slightly less than fifty – fifty chance of winning, which is pretty good.

The problems come when you start scattering bets all over the table and chasing all kinds of results.

Higher odds for your bets, like ten to one, are high to tempt you as they very rarely come in.

It is much safer to stick to lower rewards with a more consistent payout.

In the long run, you have a much more likely chance of leaving the game in profit or at least with a less damaged balance.

Too often players will begin to chase money when they scatter their bets and fall behind. This is what you have to be wary of so bet smart.
