3 Number Progression, Regression Craps System

One of the biggest misconceptions among amateur gamblers is that they are the key to winning a fortune in the casinos. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The reality is that casino craps and other games are based on statistical probabilities, to you and me – ODDS.

It is irrelevant what your system or strategy is, there is no way to completely turn casino odds in your favour, otherwise there would not be any casinos!

The best you can hope for from a solid craps strategy or betting system is to reduce the casino odds and increase your odds of winning. Just remember that even the best strategies still leave the statistical probabilities on the side of the casino.

With that in mind, the craps systems and strategies are around money management, that is, increasing your odds of taking home some of the casino’s cash and reducing the probability that the casino will keep all of the your money.

3 Number progression systems

By using a gambling system, you can add simply add structure to the way you play. Gaming systems are designed to provide a gambling procedure which wins a random betting pattern. However, as straightforward as this seems, no system can guarantee a profit every time, but they do offer the strategy for the player to try and follow. Here is a list of some of the better known betting systems. Most of these can be applied to all casino games and you can test some of them out free at most casino’s.

Reno Reach

This is a variation of the 7 method. You can use it for 6 and 8 place bets, but you can also use it for 5 and 9 or any other combination that you would like. You make a £6 place bet on the 6 and 8. You leave the bets working till one of them is hit. Then you take them down and wait for the end of the roll.

After the next point is established you make 2 more place bets on the 6 and 8 and add 1 unit to the number that last won. For example, you start by making £6 place bets on the 6 and 8. The 6 is thrown, so you take both bets down and wait for the end of the roll. After the new point is established you would make a £12 six and a £6 eight place bet. You would repeat the process every time you win a bet. You would need to win three or four times before you would recoup your initial £12 bet and start turning a profit.

This method is good for a choppy to a semi hot table. One plus to this method is that if you do reach the higher levels, your profit coming off the tables greatly increases with every win in relation to your initial £12 outlay. Also, if the table turns hot, you are already betting at a way higher level and you can truly take advantage by letting the bet work for the life of the roll. The downside, as with most systems, is an early seven.

No 4 or No 10

You can place this bet and take it down at anytime by betting both the 4 and 10 at the same time. What you are doing is laying the odds; £40 that a 7 will be thrown before a 4 or 10. This would be a good bet to make. It is so in your favour because the casino charges you a 5% vig on the amount of money you can win.

Tell the dealer that you want a 4 for £40. Put down £41 (5% on a £20 win is £1) and the dealer will put your money in the ‘don’t come’ box above the 4. Now we hope a 7 is thrown before a 4. As a win will pay £20 and you can take the 4 bet of £40 down or pay another pound and leave it up. Again, this is a good bet to make after a 4 or 10 is thrown. Most shooters will 7 out after 4 rolls and it is less likely that they will throw a second 4 or 10 before a 7. You should also follow how often the 4 and 10 are being thrown at the tables. If a lot of 4’s are thrown, it is best to favour the 10. This bet can be hedged with a bet on the hard 4 or 10. The downside to this bet is that you are risking twice as much money that you can winby doubling up. A 4 or 10 coming up before a 7 is a kills your bankroll. This method is good on a choppy or cold table.

3 Number Progressive System

This system is designed to accommodate a bankroll of £400-£2000 based on the assumption of one in ten shooters do well.

For a £400 bankroll, make a pass line bet of £5 with £10 odds

and place two inside numbers for two units. Place £5 on the pass line, £10 odds, and £12 on your first chosen number, say 6 and £12 on your second chosen number, say 8. This is an initial bet of £39. If 6 or 8 hits, then increase the bet to £18 on 6 and £18 on 8, giving you £2 back, so if the next roll is a 7, you are down £37. If the next roll is a 6 or 8, you come down to £6 on 6 and £6 on 8. This gives you £21 for win, and £24 back by decreasing the bets, a total of £45. So, now you are £8 ahead and are still on 3 numbers. From that moment on you press the bets until the 7s out.

The good thing about this system is that after hitting your place bets twice, you are ahead no matter what happens and are still in a good position to take advantage of a hot roll. Of course, if the seven outs before he hits my place bets twice, you lose, but if all the rolls are going to be like that then the only way anyone would win is to play the “don’ts”.

Results: You now have a £2.00 profit and can no longer get hurt by the Seven. In addition, you now have £12.00 working for you. After another hit, bring down all bets and wait for the roller to make his/her point or 7 out, then start the process over.

On two hits your net profit is: £21.00. Now depending on how confident you are, you can come down after the first hit profiting £14.00 or keep betting on the 6 & 8. If you prefer to keep your bets riding make sure that both the 6 & 8 are covered.

Classic Regression

Objective: To make a profit on one hit.

In this strategy, you wait until the shooter has made his or her point before placing your bets. After the Point is made you will place two units or say £12.00 on both the 6 and 8. After one hit, you will ask the dealer to come down one unit on both the 6 & 8.

£22 inside regression/don’t

Bet £22 inside. Place £5 each on the 5 and 9, £6 each on the 6 and 8. Take down the first two hits. Then make two don’t come bets, one at a time, with the next two hits. Do not press any bets. Let them run until you lose.

First two numbers that you take down will show a small profit. For example, the shooter throws a 6; you take it down with a £7 win. Then the shooter throws an 8. You take that down with a £7 win. Profit on the £22 risked is £4. With the two remaining numbers still working you can build up the bets you took down with two don’t come bets. Now you have a hedge. This method is good for a choppy table to a cold table.

£22 inside regression/build

Bet £22 inside. Place £5 each on the 5 and 9, £6 each on the 6 and 8. Take down the first two hits. Then replace those numbers you have taken down one at a time with the next two hits. Do not press any bets. Let them run until you lose.

First two numbers that you take down will show a small profit. For example, the shooter throws a 6; you take it down with a £7 win. Then the shooter throws an 8. You take that down with a £7 win. Profit on the £22 risked is £4. With the two remaining numbers still working you can build up the bets you took down till you have all the inside numbers covered again. This method is good for a choppy to hot table.
